Why renovations get messy with other builders

The three reasons reno budgets blow up — and how we prevent each one.

Vague scope

Most quotes say "renovate bathroom" with a number. Ours specify every fixture brand, every tile, every fan, every receptacle. Hard to add scope you've already paid for.

Unknown conditions

Rot, asbestos, knob-and-tube, undersized supply lines — we expect these in older Ottawa homes. We open a small inspection cut before we quote, so the surprise is gone before you sign.

Change orders

"Surprise" change orders are a sales tactic in some shops. We don't surprise you. Every change is written, signed, and priced before any work starts.
